Types of Flanges
There exist six primary types of flanges:

Blind Flanges: These seal off pumps, valves, or pipelines, lacking a center bore and available with or without hubs.
Slip-on Flanges: Economical and easy to install, these slip over the end of the pipe before welding for added strength and leak prevention.
Socket Weld Flanges: Ideal for high-pressure applications, these flanges feature fillet welds for smoother fluid or gas flow.
Weld Neck Flanges: Suited for high-stress scenarios, these flanges are butt-welded to the piping system, reducing turbulence and erosion.
Threaded Pipe Flanges: Featuring outer threads, these flanges are easily assembled without welding, suitable for smaller, low-pressure applications.
Lap Joint Flanges: Designed for easy alignment and dismantlement, these are best suited to low-pressure applications requiring frequent inspection.
